Almost 500 secondary and high school students from the province took part in the SpinAzul entrepreneurial meeting 30 November 2022
The students met in work tables, attended lectures by experts and an ideas gymkhana. In the afternoon, a round table of academic and sector experts will be held at InnovAzul
The Baluarte de la Candelaria in Cadiz hosted the Young Blue Space with the participation of 450 students from secondary schools and high schools from all over the province of Cadiz. The University of Cadiz, through the Directorate General for Entrepreneurship, Business and Graduates, is promoting the Spinazul Summit, the blue entrepreneurship congress with meetings between entrepreneurs, students, investors, funders and teachers as part of the 2nd International Meeting on Knowledge and Blue Economy InnovAzul 2022.
The young people shared ideas and experiences through 30 working groups and also participated in an entrepreneurial gymkhana – led by the Cadiz company Animarte – and then presented the best entrepreneurial initiatives. They also had contributions from specialists from different academic, scientific and professional fields through a direct and close format, as is the case of the graduate of the Faculty of Marine and Environmental Sciences of the UCA, meteorologist and weather presenter on Antena 3 TV, Mercedes Martín, the writer, pioneer explorer who has crossed the world on foot and by swim and promoter of La España Azul, Nacho Dean, or the UCA researchers in micro and macroplastics in the ocean and protection of the marine environment, Carmen Morales, and of the care of our coasts, the president of P. N. Bahía de Cádiz, Javier Benavente, or the former student of this university and entrepreneur in Reavive, expert in circular economy, Vanessa Sánchez.
