The Ranking of Shanghai places UCA among the best in the world in Oceanography, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics and Environmental Engineering 19 July 2018

The Ranking of Shanghai places UCA among the best in the world in Oceanography, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics and Environmental Engineering

It ranks among the 151-200 best in Oceanography and is in the top 400 in three more subjects. UCA breaks into three new areas of knowledge and improves its international position

The University of Cádiz reinforces its international position in the 2018 edition of the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (ranking of Shanghai by subject). If last year appeared for the first time in this classification, this time it breaks into three new thematic areas, ranking among the 151-200 universities in the world in Oceanography and ranking between 301-400 in Mathematics and Chemical Engineering. The latter is also the position that consolidates UCA in Environmental Science and Engineering regarding the classification achieved last year. These data are a reflection of the scientific growth carried out by the university institution in Cadiz in recent years

The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects includes the scientific projection of universities from the five continents and, among other indicators, it values the number of publications indexed in InCites, the index of standardized citations of them, the prizes to the teaching staff, the publications in high impact scientific journals or international co-authorship publications

For a couple of years, the Ranking of Shanghai integrates areas of interest in its analysis and, since the 2017 edition, it provides a total of 54 research topics, ranging from Natural Sciences, to Social Sciences, through Engineering , becoming, in this way, a tool for the study of the specialization and the leadership of the universities that appear in it.
