UCA consolidates as fourth Andalusian university after receiving more than 11.000 pre-enrollment applications
UCA has been the first option for 5,509 students, while 5,547 have chosen it in second place. Medicine, Nursing and Primary Education are the most requested degrees

The University of Cádiz is again the fourth Andalusian university, according to the number of applications sent by the students. More than 11,000 students have chosen UCA in the first phase of pre-registration to take the first year of their university studies next academic year. In total, 5,509 students have made the university institution in Cádiz into their first choice, while 5,547 have indicated their different degrees in the second place of their preferences. With these data, the University of Cádiz reinforces its position among the four Andalusian universities whose degrees are most demanded by the new access students.

The ranking of the most requested degrees as the first option at the University of Cádiz is headed, as in previous years, by the degree in Medicine, followed, from more to less applications, by Nursing, Primary Education, Pre-school Education, Psychology, Criminology and Security, Law, Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, Physiotherapy, and Aerospace Engineering. On the other hand, the degrees in Medicine, in Hispanic Philology and English Studies, Biotechnology and Aerospace Engineering are what have provided, in this first pre-enrollment period, the four highest cut grades, with a 12.80, 12.38, 12.17 and 11.99 , respectively

The first phase of the pre-registration has been extended, after the completion of the tests of selectivity, between June 22nd to July 5th. In this way, hundreds of students have taken advantage of this deadline to go to the University of Cádiz, learn and manage their applications in the 44 degrees and 18 double degrees that compose the academic offer of the University of Cádiz for the next academic year 2018/19. An option that has been enjoyed by the 5,024 students from Cadiz who passed the first exams for access to the university for the 2018-19 academic year. That is, 96.19% of those presented. UCA offers a total of 5,050 places available at its four campuses
