The Department of Philosophy and Arts has hosted a welcome ceremony for Erasmus students and visitors who will study at all four campuses throughout the second academic semester 2019/2020. A total of 417 students—333 Erasmus and 84 visitors—come from 47 different countries. This academic year, the University of Cádiz has reserved 1,047 spots for international students.
Hundreds of young adults from universities in the European Union, the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australia have received information about their academic stay at UCA and university services, as well as useful information about life in the province.
The countries that provide the highest number of students are: Mexico 71, Italy 50, Germany 37, France 27 and Ivory Coast 26. However, students also come from Algeria, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Chile, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Cuba, Denmark, USA, Egypt, Finland, France, Georgia, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Moldova, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Sweden, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine.
The majority of students are enrolled in the Department of Philosophy and Arts and the Department of Economics and Business.
