More than 2,000 people from all the marine and maritime sectors are taking part in the activities of the 2nd Blue Knowledge and Blue Economy Meeting in Cadiz

The Rector of the University of Cadiz, Francisco Piniella, the Andalusian Regional Government’s Minister for University, Research and Innovation, José Carlos Villamandos, and the Minister for Sustainability, the Environment and the Blue Economy, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, together with the President of the Cadiz Provincial Council, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, and the Councillor for Development and Employment of the Cadiz City Council, Carlos Paradas, officially opened the 2nd International Meeting on Knowledge and the Blue Economy, InnovAzul 2022, which was held at the Cadiz Conference Centre and which has already become, in its second edition, an obligatory meeting point for all innovative sectors, both national and international, related to the Blue Economy, with more than 2,000 people registered. 2,000 people registered.

Proof of this is the presence at the event of leading world specialists in the marine and maritime field such as the Belgian economist Gunter Pauli, creator of the “Blue Economy” concept, founder of ZERI (Zero Pollution Research and Initiatives) or Professor Carlos Duarte, international leader in biological oceanography and marine ecology studies, holder of the Tarek Ahmed Juffali Chair of Red Sea Ecology at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia.
